Donna graduated from the International School of Colon Hydrotherapy in October
2004 and opened her business in Lowell, North Carolina. In 2005 she moved to a
new location in Gastonia where her business, Healthy Connection, Inc. is still
located. In 2008 Donna completed her studies of colon hydrotherapy by becoming
an instructor and obtaining National Board Certification.
Donna became interested in colonics in 1990 because of her long history of medical
challenges. After being diagnosed with colitis, diverticulitis, IBS, and ulcers she
began seeing a therapist. Through her struggles she found that colon hydrotherapy
not only helped her with her chronic diseases but also began to detox the entire
body. But it was not until 2002 when her mother was diagnosed with colon cancer
that she felt the need to find out more about the benefits of ongoing colon therapy.
That is when she realized how serious colon cancer is and how hard it is to detect.
Her mother is leading a very active life and is cancer free.
Donna feels that it is her privilege and duty to spread the word about colon care.
Every step of the way doors have opened to allow her advancement in a career that
she loves. Her goal has always been helping people on their journey to achieve
complete wellness.
In 1984 a family medical crisis led Kent to reach out for alternative treatments to
western medicine and drugs. As a result he began a journey to discover safe,
natural healing modalities. After developing an interest in Chiropractic care,
herbology, acupuncture/acupressure, essential oils, etc., he finally decided to follow
his instincts into the field of massage therapy and has been practicing this type of
therapy for almost 20 years. In 2003 he graduated from The Whole You School of
Massage and Body Work in Rutherfordton, NC.
Since that time he has been doing massage therapy professionally at a local
Chiropractor’s office as well as in private practice where his specialty is pain relief
and injury treatment. In addition he has become an instructor at The Whole You
School where he oversees students during their required clinical studies.
He has continued his own education to include the study of Reiki and Native
American Shamanism and in March 2007 he finished the initial course of study
allowing him to become a certified practitioner of Holographic Health.
Since the late 1980’s Julie has been working in the medical office environment
taking pride in her positive attitude and uplifting demeanor. Attention to detail is very
important to her, so all of your scheduling and business matters will be handled
promptly, courteously and with the utmost discretion.
A lifelong interest in natural, alternative healing choices led her to eventually find her
place here at Healthy Connection where not only is she able to help others on their
journey of self-healing, but also where she can learn and grow.
After the birth of her youngest son in 1991 she began a series of classes, study
groups, etc. covering a vast array of topics that culminated in April of 2006 when she
received her Reiki Master certification.
