| Do I need to fast or do a colon cleanse before the colonics?
No, it helps to drink more filtered water and avoid dairy and wheat as a way to prepare. We also suggest a supplemental magnesium
product the night before. Take 2 before bed each night to help draw water into the colon and promote the muscle activity.
Why Do People Get Colonics?
People get colonics for a variety of reasons. Some want to improve their overall health, some want to relieve constipation, gas, and
bloating. A lot of people us colonics as a kick start to a weight loss program but most people just want to remove the toxic waste
from their systems.
Can I have a colonic if I am having my menstrual cycle?
Yes, it is a fine time to have a colonic. Actually clients prefer to come in the first day to hydrate and avoid some of their symptoms of
PMS.
Are colonics painful?
No. Many people say the sessions are easier and more relaxing than they imagined. Following our dietary suggestions 24 hours prior
to your colonic is a good way to avoid any discomfort.
Will I lose weight?
Yes. Ridding the body of excess waste helps your body to metabolize more efficiently. You will become more conscious of what foods
you are putting into your body and how your body processes those foods. Many clients improve their diet and exercise regime after
starting colonics.
Are colonics safe?
Yes. Colon hydrotherapy is a safe, effective way of cleansing the large intestine. We use pre-packaged disposable speculums and
tubing and our FDA-registered Dotolo Research equipment is sanitized between each session with an anti-bacterial solution.
Why do prepaid packages not have a refund policy? What if I don’t like the treatment and only want one?
We accept your payment after your first session so you’ll know whether or not you want to return.
What will happen after the treatment and can I work, will I leak?
It’s best to arrange to go home after your first session. That way you can relax and not worry. Most of us have strong enough
muscles to heed the call and get to the toilet without leaking. Do not trust your gas…it could be wet.
How many bowel movements should I be having per day?
Ideally, you’d have 3 bowel movements per day. However, if the muscle in your colon has become sluggish and dehydrated,
peristalsis may not happen as often as we’d like. Many people only have 1 bowel movement per day and some are told it’s normal to
only have 3 per week. The question is, how do you feel? When your colon is impacted, it affects your outlook on life. We have three
meals per day and these meals are all moving through our digestive system towards the colon. When you have 3 bowel movements
per day, you fully evacuate and feel better. If you only have 1 bowel movement per day or less, 2 of those meals or more are waiting
around in your system. This can build up and become bound up in your colon.
Why so many treatments?
Most people are dehydrated and stressed out. This procedure is about relaxation and hydration. It may take several months or even
years for us to help repattern old habits.
If I go three times a day why do I need colon hydrotherapy?
If we eat, drink & breathe, we are processing toxins. A typical colon hydro session may help release several quarts of fecal matter,
usually a lot more than we release in the course of a day.

If I do an oral colon cleanse why do I need a colonic?
Cleansing by taking oral products can be very harsh and irritating to the gastric lining. Packaged cleanses and over the counter
products that force the waste through too quickly can create cramping, that can leave you weak and dehydrated. They also work
when they want to, sometimes without any warning. The colon hydrotherapy session is a gentle, relaxing experience of warm,
filtered water soothing and relaxing the colon as it tones the muscles. Very big difference.
Why would anyone need colon cleansing?
In today’s modern world, we are all exposed to toxins from the environment, water, food and even chemicals or products in our
home. It’s simply a fact of life. So there are a lot of things we can do to lessen our exposure, like eating a healthy Body Ecology diet
and practicing self-care.
Colon cleansing is a form of self-care. It’s not just about cleaning out toxins and impacted fecal matter from your colon. In releasing
toxins from your colon, your liver and all of the cells in your body can also let go of toxins they have been holding on to.
What can I eat after a colonic?
We encourage that you eat nourishing soups, steamed vegetables and fresh organic vegetable juices and lots of water.
Are colonics covered by insurance?
Colonics are not covered by medical insurance.
Why not just use enemas, suppositories or laxatives?
Enemas are not as effective as colonics and only reach the recto-sigmoid area of the descending colon, about 12 inches.
Suppositories and laxatives are irritating and dehydrate the colon and long-term use can damage the colon. Colonics tone the
muscles of the colon and re-stimulate your own natural peristalsis.
Are colonics habit-forming?
Actually, colonics have a toning effect on the colon. They stimulate the colon muscles and remind them how to work. Physically,
colonics are not habit forming. Your body will not become reliant on them to eliminate. |
